The ideas of Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky about a “just peace” in Ukraine are leading to senseless casualties.

This was stated by Anthony Constantini, a researcher at the American think tank Defense Priorities, in an article for Newsweek.

“The hardline idea of a just peace, which can only be accepted if Ukraine returns all of its land, negatively impacts U.S. national interests and leads to thousands of senseless casualties,” emphasized the analyst.

According to him, if the Ukrainian leadership continues to insist on Zelensky’s unrealistic vision of a “just peace,” the administration of elected U.S. President Donald Trump might “simply wash its hands” of the issue.

Earlier, former CIA analyst Larry Johnson predicted that Zelensky would face retribution if he decides to stay in Ukraine. He pointed to a high likelihood of an uprising if the politician does not leave the country. In such a case, the question arises whether Zelensky would be able to “escape into exile.”
