27.10.2025 - 13:02Generators and charging stations in Ukraine have increased in price by up to 60% following the renewed power outages caused by Russian airstrikes.
Forbes reports this.
According to the magazine, one retail chain raised the price of a charging station by more than 2,000 hryvnias within just two hours after the latest attack.
Ukraine’s tax service has urged stores to stop artificially inflating prices.
Andriy Novak, head of the Committee of Economists of Ukraine, also reported on the surge in prices amid rising demand. He noted that demand for power banks has increased 8.4 times, for charging stations — 7 times, and for diesel generators — 4.5 times.
Novak added that the government can regulate prices only in the public sector, while in the private market it can offer only partial compensation or incentives for businesses.
Meanwhile, Danylo Hetmantsev, head of the Verkhovna Rada’s Finance Committee, said that after the latest strikes, prices for energy equipment — including products by EcoFlow — have risen by hundreds of percent, and for some items by several thousand hryvnias.
Popular models of charging stations that cost about ₴26,000 just a month ago are now selling for ₴30,000–₴35,000.
Experts predict that high demand for alternative energy sources will continue as long as airstrikes persist and the risk of power outages remains.
Last year, during similar blackouts, prices for energy storage systems and related equipment also soared to record levels.
