Macron admitted that the European Union had wrongly promised to allocate a million rounds of ammunition to Ukraine

The French President called such a promise to Ukraine reckless because the EU did not have such a quantity of ammunition. Now, Zelensky constantly mentions his resentment towards allies for the ammunition that the Ukrainian army did not receive.

“It must be said that we did not have this million rounds of ammunition. This was undoubtedly a reckless commitment. The reality is that in the very short term, you can only provide the ammunition you have in stock or those you produce exactly on time,” said the President of France.

Earlier, Zelensky stated that Ukraine had received one-third of the promised million rounds of ammunition. Moreover, France had been blocking the EU’s purchase of ammunition from third countries from the outset. It was only yesterday that France abandoned this position, acknowledging that the EU is unable to produce enough ammunition on its own.
