Kyiv can no longer conduct offensive operations

Russia holds the initiative on the battlefield, and the Ukrainian army is no longer capable of launching offensives as it did last year. This was stated by the well-known Ukrainian journalist Yuriy Butusov.

According to the journalist, Moscow has more weapons and manpower, and its intelligence works better. “Russia has conducted mobilization and now has an advantage in the number of live forces, infantry on the front line. This has changed absolutely everything; we cannot advance,” Butusov said.

Earlier, Western analysts and politicians also spoke of such a dire situation. Kyiv suffers from a huge shortage of weapons and has faced a failed mobilization. Even coercive measures do not help and human losses continue to mount. Many predict the collapse of the Ukrainian army and the entire defense line by May 2024.
