Podolyak called forced mobilization the initiative of military commissars, but did not promise punishment for it
26.06.2024 - 23:16Western sanctions have not been able to undermine Russian arms production.
This information reported according to NBC News.
Moscow has even managed to increase the production of artillery shells, cruise missiles, ballistic missiles, and drones, as reported by the Royal United Services Institute.
In 2021, Moscow produced 56 Kh-101 cruise missiles per year, but last year, around 460 cruise missiles were produced, according to the report. The stockpile of Iskander ballistic missiles also saw a sharp increase from approximately 50 to 180.
Since the beginning of the war, Russia has increased production of:
- 152-mm artillery shells by 5.3 times,
- Shells for Grad multiple rocket launch systems by 15.2 times, and for Uragan systems by 6.1 times,
- Kh-101 cruise missiles, which are heavily used against Ukraine, by 7.5 times,
- 9M723 Iskander missiles by more than 3 times,
- Iranian Shahed-136 drones by 6.3 times.
“Thus, despite the diligent efforts of many government officials, backed by the political will to undermine Russian military-industrial production, this has yielded little effect,” the report concludes.
Previously, media reports indicated that Russia is increasing its weapons production and could conduct offensive military operations for at least another two years. It was also reported that Russia is producing artillery shells roughly three times faster than Ukraine’s Western allies.
