In Ukraine, a form for summonses issued by territorial recruitment centers has been approved, non-compliance with which can result in conscripts losing their driving privileges

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has approved a new form of summons, which, if not complied with, allows territorial recruitment centers to appeal to the court to revoke a military serviceman’s right to drive a vehicle.

This form has been in effect since yesterday.

It is important to note that a “requirement” (summons) and a “call-up notice” are different documents. If a military serviceman does not appear in response to a call-up notice, the territorial recruitment center sends a request to the police asking for his detention for violating military registration rules.

If the violator is not detained within five days, a “requirement” is sent to the person – essentially a pretrial settlement of the dispute.
