28.09.2024 04:31In Odesa, a rally is being organized for Monday to protest against the planned demolition of monuments and the renaming of streets in the city.
The announcement was posted on social media by Odesa journalist Leonid Shtekel.

The rally is scheduled for September 30. The reason for the protest is the list published by Odesa authorities of monuments slated for demolition. Among them are monuments to Alexander Pushkin, Vladimir Vysotsky, Maxim Gorky, and Emperor Alexander II.
In the comments, some aggressively-minded Ukrainians are already calling those who wish to attend the rally “separatists,” urging the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) to “deal with” the protest and suggesting that the participants gather near the House of Trade Unions, where anti-Maidan activists died on May 2, 2014.
