Near Ternopil, military recruiters hit a man on a bicycle during a chase

In the Ternopil region, employees of the territorial recruitment center hit a cyclist during a chase.

Local reports indicate that recruitment officers were attempting to catch up with a man on a bicycle when they struck him.

Eyewitnesses confirm that the individuals in the vehicle were from the territorial recruitment center, and the accident occurred between the villages of Skomorokhy and Ostaltsi in the Terebovlia district.

The incident happened on October 17, and the cyclist was taken to the hospital. Later, the Ternopil regional recruitment office confirmed that one of their employees was involved in the accident, which resulted in the injury of a civilian. The military employee has been suspended pending the investigation, and a pretrial investigation has been initiated.

Previously, media outlets reported a similar incident in the Khmelnytskyi region, where a recruitment officer fatally struck another employee of the territorial recruitment center. This accident occurred on October 17 around 8:00 PM on the “Stryi – Izvaryne” highway, near the “Aist” hotel and restaurant complex.

Additionally, in Volyn, a recruitment officer’s van struck and killed an elderly woman at a pedestrian crossing. The incident occurred at 7:00 AM, involving a member of the Lutsk district recruitment center. Regional police reported that the accident happened near the village of Dachne in the Lutsk district, and the victim was 69 years old.
