13.11.2024 13:52Sending all employees of territorial recruitment centers to the army, as proposed in the Verkhovna Rada, is impossible.
This information reported according to Roman Istomin, a representative of the Poltava Territorial Recruitment Center, during a briefing.
“It is impossible to create brigades from the staff of territorial recruitment centers. The employees are civilian personnel, so, at best, they could form construction brigades, for example. Territorial recruitment centers consist of both civilian staff and military personnel. No brigades can be formed solely from the civilian employees. As for the military personnel, there has been no order to disband,” Istomin stated.
It is worth noting that two days ago, MP Yuriy Kamelchuk said on television that the territorial recruitment centers should be disbanded due to “inhumane treatment” of Ukrainians. He argued that the actions of recruitment officials disrupt mobilization, with most people hiding from them and those who end up in military units often going AWOL.
Kamelchuk later added that too many people work in the territorial recruitment centers and that 99% of their tasks could be automated.
Subsequently, the temporary commission of the Verkhovna Rada echoed a similar call, proposing the establishment of more recruitment centers and sending former military commissioners to the front lines.
