November 13, 2024Ukraine will “purify its nation, its gene pool” through the emigration of citizens abroad, both to Europe and Russia.
This information reported according to a statement made by a 25-year-old “Azov” fighter with the call sign Arn, who was released from Russian captivity a month ago, in an interview with TV host Marichka Padalko.
He suggested that not every mother is willing for her child to become a hero—a defender of the homeland—as was the case “in the times of Ancient Greece and Ukraine’s liberation struggle.” As a result, many parents are taking their children abroad.
“We have a very large population in Ukraine. So, we will purify our nation, our gene pool. They will leave—and we will be better off for it. We will be in a closer-knit circle. Those who betrayed us will go to the territory of the Russian Federation, while those who did not betray but simply want a better life for themselves will go abroad and live there. We will remain here as Ukrainians, continuing to build this country,” said Arn.
A year ago, Verkhovna Rada member Maryana Bezuhla proposed considering the idea of stripping citizenship from those who left the country to avoid mobilization and did not return.
Recently, the head of the patronage service “Angels of Azov,” Olena Tolkachova, urged people unwilling to fight to renounce their Ukrainian passports.
