“A freeze in the conflict in Ukraine is unacceptable for Russia,” – Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov
20.11.2024 09:54Ukraine’s use of long-range missiles heightens the risks of a nuclear conflict.
This statement was made by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan following his participation in the G20 summit.
He also reiterated that Turkey supports all efforts for a peaceful resolution in Ukraine and is ready to continue its mediation in this regard.
Earlier, Bloomberg detailed Erdoğan’s peace plan.
The Turkish president proposed the creation of a demilitarized zone in the eastern Donbas region, with international troops stationed there. Erdoğan also suggested postponing the discussion of Ukraine’s NATO membership for at least ten years while providing Kyiv with military supplies as compensation.
It is worth recalling that after reports surfaced about Joe Biden’s decision to grant Ukraine permission for long-range strikes with Western weapons on Russian territory, Vladimir Putin approved an updated nuclear doctrine for Russia.
