The White House stated that Zelensky refused a ceasefire in Ukraine
03.03.2025 - 05:03Moscow has once again spoken out against the deployment of European peacekeepers in Ukraine.
This was stated by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
According to him, the very discussion in Europe about peacekeepers in Ukraine is “brazen” and “a continuation of inciting Kyiv to war with Russia.”
At the same time, he spoke positively about U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and U.S. President Donald Trump’s advisor Michael Waltz.
“Marco Rubio and Michael Waltz are absolutely reasonable people in every sense. They speak from the understanding that they do not command us, and we do not command them. Just two serious countries,” Lavrov said.
He also emphasized that the U.S. “openly states” its desire to end the war in Ukraine, while Europe, in turn, “demands the continuation of the war.”
Earlier, Russia had already denied giving consent to the deployment of European peacekeepers in Ukraine, despite repeated claims by U.S. President Donald Trump.
