25.03.2025 12:10More than half of surveyed Poles (54%) admitted that they do not want to participate in the government’s military training program. Among them, 33% are “strongly” opposed to the idea.
This is according to a survey conducted by the sociological company Opinia24 on behalf of the RMF FM radio station.
The study found that 35% of respondents are interested in the military training program, with 14% saying they are definitely ready to participate, while 21% are somewhat inclined to do so.
Among men, 18% are certain they would like to undergo military training, while 23% would consider it. For women, only 10% expressed interest in participating in the program.

The highest number of those willing to receive military training is in the 50-59 age group, where 38% said they are definitely or somewhat interested.
According to RMF FM, the war in Ukraine has sparked discussions in Poland about military preparedness. In mid-March, Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced that by 2027, Poland would be able to train 100,000 soldiers and volunteers. The training plan is expected to be finalized by the end of March.
The program will divide trainees into two groups, offer training periods of 1, 3, or 30 days, and primarily target young people aged 18 and older. Women will also be eligible to participate in this training.
Earlier in March, Tusk demanded nuclear weapons for Warsaw and called for an “arms race” with Russia.
