The Kremlin called for waiting for the results of the investigation into the attacks from Ukraine
03.06.2025 13:01Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs, Vladimir Dzhabarov, suspects Ukraine’s response to Russian memorandum will be negative.
The senator shared his thoughts in an interview with journalists.
“The scenario for the negotiation process is detailed in our memorandum. I’m studying it carefully right now. I don’t yet know Ukraine’s reaction to our proposals. I think it will be negative, although we didn’t ask for anything new in it,” Dzhabarov noted.
The senator reminded that Russia’s position on many issues had already been voiced back in December 2021.
“How Ukraine will react now, I don’t know. I think there will be a negative reaction. We’ll have to wait for the official reaction and, in the meantime, continue to do our work. Our military knows what needs to be done, and they’re doing it,” Dzhabarov added.
Earlier, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated that the draft of the Russian memorandum proposed to Kyiv is aimed at eliminating the root causes of the conflict in Ukraine. According to him, the document seeks to address these root causes through its flexibility and the many proposals it contains. At the same time, Peskov emphasized that the issue of resolving the conflict is extremely complex and involves a great number of nuances.
