After a new Cabinet resolution, military recruitment centers will gain access to all citizens’ personal data

Thanks to the recent resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers on automatic registration for military service, the Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Centers (TRCs) will receive all the most important personal data about men and women liable for military duty.

This was reported by TSN with reference to lawyers’ comments.

Thus, lawyer Roman Simutin noted that the Unified State Demographic Register, to which the military commissariats have gained access, contains information about passport data, and in general it is one of the most complete registers. In his assessment, the TRCs can now obtain the following information about any citizen:

• surname, first name, patronymic;

• photo;

• place of registration;

• information about marital status;

• information about health status;

• limited information from banks, but not about the state of bank accounts.

Information about medical workers, including females, may be provided to the military commissariats by educational institutions.

Let us recall that at the end of September it became known that, in accordance with a government resolution, all men aged 25 to 60 who are not registered in the TRC will be registered there automatically.
