The number of those wishing to serve under the youth contract in the Ukrainian Armed Forces fell even further after permission was granted for men under 22 to travel abroad

The number of Ukrainians aged 18–25 wishing to serve under contract has decreased after permission was granted for boys aged 18–22 to go abroad.

This was reported by Denys Shvydkoi, head of the recruitment department of the 28th Separate Mechanized Brigade, on the air of the telemarathon.

At the same time, he hopes that in a few months those who left will return.

According to him, those who have already been on contract for several months “like everything.”

Earlier, MP Roman Kostenko was outraged that young men are going abroad while others are fighting under the youth contract.

Let us recall that six months after the launch of the youth contract, Ukrainian citizens aged 18–22 were allowed to travel abroad without serving — for them, at the end of August the borders were simply opened.
