29.12.2025 12:01Photos have been published of the body of a man from Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi in Odesa region named Oleksandr, who died at the local Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Center (TCC and SP) after an alleged beating, as his relatives believe.
The images show large bruises on his face and body, including a huge bruise across his entire back, bruising on his forehead above the eyebrow, his temple, and his nose.

A lawyer described the circumstances: on December 25 at around 11:00 a.m., the man left home and was heading to a friend’s place to charge mobile devices because there was no electricity at his home. Just a few minutes later, he called his girlfriend and said that TCC personnel had stopped him. Two minutes later, the woman called him back to ask how he was doing. He replied that the enlistment officers still would not let him go and that he was clearly very nervous. At 12:20 p.m., his wife called him, and a police officer answered the phone and informed her: “Your husband has died; you need to come to identify the body.”
“So what happened in one hour and ten minutes? You already know of cases where people die and TCCs are involved. There are criminal case files dedicated to such incidents. In most cases, the materials are lost, there is no video evidence, and witnesses say that everyone was given medical assistance or that no one saw anything. Oleksandr, my client’s father, died at the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi TCC under the same mysterious circumstances,” the lawyer concluded.
As a reminder, the TCC says the man died due to heart failure and atherosclerotic heart disease, and that no signs of violence were found on his body.
Deaths of mobilized men at TCCs have already become commonplace in Ukraine. For example, in the autumn there was a public outcry over the death of a young man, Roman Sopin, at the Podilskyi TCC in Kyiv. According to an expert examination, he died as a result of trauma caused by a blunt object.
