01.04.2026 12:02The United States does not intend to help in the future those countries that refused to take part in measures to reopen the Strait of Hormuz.
This was stated by U.S. President Donald Trump.
“You will have to learn to fight for yourselves. The United States will no longer be there to help you, just as you were not there for us,” he wrote on Tuesday on the social network Truth Social.
According to Trump, “to all those countries that cannot get aviation fuel because of the problem of the Strait of Hormuz, such as Great Britain, which refused to take part in the ‘decapitation’ of Iran, I have a proposal: first, buy from the United States — we have plenty of fuel; and second, summon some courage, go into the strait, and simply take it.”
Trump again insisted that Iran is “devastated” and that the hardest part of the operation is over.
“Go and take your own oil!” the president urged on social media.
He also criticized France, which, according to the president, did not allow aircraft carrying military cargo bound for Israel to pass through its airspace. Trump promised that “the United States will remember” that decision.
On Tuesday, the newspaper Corriere della Sera reported that Italy had refused to let the United States use the NATO military base at Sigonella on the island of Sicily to transfer American bombers to the Middle East. On Monday, Spanish Defense Minister Margarita Robles said that U.S. aircraft taking part in the conflict with Iran could not use Spanish airspace. Earlier, the Spanish authorities had also announced a ban on the use of jointly operated military bases for military actions against Iran.
