Trump: “We will all be involved” in settling the conflict in Ukraine
06.06.2026 08:01Romanian President Nicușor Dan confirmed that the naval drone that exploded in the port of Constanța belonged to Ukraine.
The politician made the statement on the social network X.
“The drone, along with other similar combat assets, was part of combat operations being conducted by Ukraine. Ukrainian forces lost control of it,” Dan wrote.
The president also said that Ukraine had notified Romania in advance that the drones had lost control due to alleged Russian electronic warfare interference and were heading toward the neighboring country.
The explosion of the unmanned boat occurred on the morning of June 5 at around 10:30. A loud sound was heard several kilometers away. By the time of the explosion, an evacuation had already been carried out. It is believed that a significant quantity of explosives was on board the vessel.
The previous evening, Dan stated that all four drones that had gone out of the control of Ukraine’s Armed Forces and headed toward Romania had already exploded.
Earlier, Ukraine had mistakenly directed strike drones toward Finland.
