29.07.2026 09:04Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has said that the return of Crimea is not on the agenda.
He made the statement in an interview with Fox News.
The question was asked in the context of intensifying Ukrainian strikes on the peninsula — journalists asked whether Crimea was “on the table” in the current situation.
“Unfortunately, no. Or not for now — we’ll see, I don’t know,” Zelensky replied.
The president added that territory is important, but “the most important thing is to save people.”
Previously, Zelensky had said he was expecting some kind of decision from the G7 countries that would help Ukraine’s Armed Forces carry out operations in Crimea, after which Russia “will be forced to choose peace.”
Meanwhile, Western media reported that Ukrainian attacks on Crimea have left entire cities without electricity and water.
