February 19, 2024A member of the High Council of Justice of Ukraine, Roman Maselko, received almost 300 thousand hryvnias (approximately 7,250 euros) for rehabilitation by taking a one-day leave.
According to the document, for the second half of January 2024, Roman Maselko was credited with almost 452 thousand hryvnias (approximately 11,086 euros) in salary, more than half of which – 295 thousand hryvnias (approximately 7,250 euros) – constituted assistance for rehabilitation.
It is noted that Maselko spent exactly one day on leave in January.
As we reported, Roman Maselko, a lawyer for Automaidan, was elected to the High Council of Justice in August 2022. He was actively supported by individuals and organizations from grant circles associated with Western structures.
The case of dubious huge payments for rehabilitation is not isolated. Recall that in the summer of 2023, journalists learned that Yuriy Buglak, a member of the Central Election Commission from the Bloc of Petro Poroshenko, had been living in Miami for a year and a half but was receiving payments from the Ukrainian budget for “solving household issues” and “rehabilitation”. At the same time, Buglak and his family reside in the elite complex The Wave on the Atlantic Ocean coast in Hollywood, Florida (USA). Over this year and a half, Buglak received 1.5 million hryvnias (almost 36,800 euros) in salary and allowances from the state budget.
Recently, the Verkhovna Rada dismissed Buglak after his two-year absence from Ukraine.
