13.10.2025 08:32Failures in the defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) will occur more frequently after the transition to the corps system.
This was stated by military blogger Yuriy Podolyaka in his Telegram channel.
The blogger noted that the reform of the Ukrainian army will not change anything fundamentally. In particular, he reminded that two corps generals have already lost their positions recently.
“The corps already exist, but the problems remain. And it couldn’t have been otherwise. And it won’t be. We are waiting for the next dismissals for failures. Now they will happen more often, since there are more corps in the AFU than there were sectors before,” he wrote.
Earlier, the Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian army, Oleksandr Syrskyi, said that the AFU had completed the transition to the corps system. According to him, all operational-strategic groupings of troops (OSUV) had been disbanded.
In September, it became known that the Commander-in-Chief of the AFU dismissed the commanders of the 17th and 20th corps, Volodymyr Silenko and Maksym Kytuhin. As Ukrainian media wrote, the reason for this was the defeats in the sectors under their responsibility.
