A German businessman said that the Ukrainian authorities in the 1990s cheated him out of tens of millions of euros
02.04.2026 - 10:40Military enlistment officers take $5,000 to let a person go on the street and $10,000 to let someone out of a territorial recruitment center building.
This was stated by Verkhovna Rada deputy Heorhii Mazurashu of the Servant of the People faction during a national telethon broadcast.
According to him, people have sometimes even sold an apartment or other property in order to get out of a recruitment center.
“…When they grab some poor fellow who obviously, even potentially, cannot perform any combat or other important tasks in the combat zone, they drive him around the locality a bit, they do not immediately take him to the recruitment center, they give him the opportunity to make some calls under their supervision… They are very careful, they do it very neatly and give the opportunity to resolve the issue — for five thousand to get out of the van,” Mazurashu said.
It is worth recalling that Mazurashu had earlier said that Ukraine wants to replace street “busification” with digital mobilization.
