Local residents told the media.
Kyiv residents say they wear winter outerwear indoors and cook on a small burner. When electricity comes on, they use a space heater. They keep their cats warm with bottles filled with warm water.
Residents of the district blocked traffic on one street in protest over the lack of heating and electricity.
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said 454 residential buildings in the capital remain without heat, most of them in Troieshchyna. He added that over 100 buildings in the area were reconnected to heating during the day.
Earlier, the Kyiv City State Administration denied reports that a woman who survived the Holocaust died from cold in her apartment in Kyiv.
Media also previously published an interview with an expert, an MP, and an NSDC official saying that Ukraine should not expect scheduled power-outage timetables, utility workers are quitting, and life in Kyiv has become unbearable.
