November 2, 2023Former advisor to the President’s Office, Alexey Arestovich, has spoken about the impasse on the front lines and the need to initiate peaceful negotiations with Russia.
He made these statements on the YouTube channel “Khodorkovsky LIVE.”
Arestovich stated, “In fact, we are at an impasse in this war. Neither Russia can seriously capture significant portions of our territory, nor can we currently retake it. Beyond this, converting this into a static front, endless and senseless killing of each other without attempting to achieve any meaningful results is not beneficial to either the Russian or Ukrainian people. People are starting to understand this. I believe we need to make peace. Engage in peaceful negotiations. However, these negotiations must be fair and equitable.”
He also reiterated his plan for Ukraine to enter NATO with the territories under its control, while committing not to reclaim the territories captured by Russia through military means.
