11.11.2025 12:01Four former and current ministers may be involved in a corruption scheme in the energy sector.
This was stated in an interview with Ukrainska Pravda by the head of the NABU detectives’ group, Oleksandr Abakumov.
“In various situations during the investigation of this criminal case, we documented four Cabinet ministers. Their actions are being assessed as to whether there is sufficient evidence,” Abakumov said, adding that these individuals served in government “at different times” and not all are currently in office.
MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak, who was present in the studio, said that two sitting ministers are implicated in the case.
Meanwhile, the Justice Ministry confirmed that investigative actions are being carried out involving the head of the agency, Herman Halushchenko, who previously led the Energy Ministry.
According to media reports, the current energy minister, Svitlana Hrynchuk, also figures in the investigation.
As a reminder, yesterday NABU published the first “Mindich tapes”—recordings of conversations among high-ranking officials who stole large sums in the energy sector, including on the construction of protective structures.
