The Foreign Ministers of Ukraine and Slovakia advocated for Russia’s participation in negotiations to end the war
September 19, 2024Member of Parliament Maryana Bezuhla calls on President Volodymyr Zelensky to dismiss the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrsky and Defense Minister Rustem Umerov, accusing them of “criminal activities.”
She writes that yesterday, “at the request of Syrsky,” Umerov dismissed the Chief Inspector of the Ministry of Defense Ihor Voronchenko.
“Immediately after he reported to the Headquarters about the catastrophic situation with training in the Armed Forces’ training centers. Voronchenko’s frank and detailed report shocked everyone and caused great anger in Syrsky. The Chief Inspector of the Ministry of Defense was the last stronghold that provided at least some expertise on what is really happening in the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” writes Bezuhla.
According to her, the Inspection conducted an investigation into the downing of Ukrainian air defense aircraft, including the F-16.
“I assume that there will now be an attempt to destroy all evidence. This is a significant moment, indicating the absence of a defense minister capable of exercising control, and the system is catastrophically rejecting the truth. This concerns the criminal activities of the Defense Minister and the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in their positions. The moment when the resignation of both, Umerov and Syrsky, with their replacement not by just another ‘seat,’ but by allowing a new generation to lead the Armed Forces and implement systemic changes, becomes critically important for the state’s existence. Because, at this rate, they, acting as accomplices, will destroy everyone except for jesters, even physically, as punishment by transfer to assault units is also practiced,” Bezuhla writes.
She urges Zelensky “not to be misled.”
