Budanov: Ukraine is preparing for a new round of negotiations in October

Head of the Ukrainian President’s Office Kyrylo Budanov announced that Kyiv is preparing for a new round of peace negotiations scheduled for October.

He made the statement in a comment to the Interfax-Ukraine agency.

“We are preparing. For October,” — Budanov said, responding to a question about the timing of the next meeting.

According to Budanov, the talks will take place in a trilateral format. He declined to specify a possible venue.

Earlier, new trilateral meetings were mentioned in Russia following the visit of U.S. representatives to Moscow.

The day before, Budanov also stated that Ukraine would fight for as long as necessary. Meanwhile, Kyiv continues to assert that it is not ready for the compromises demanded by Moscow and Washington.
