In this context, the outlet mentions that the possibility of a Trump presidency looms over Kyiv, the number of supporters for negotiations in Ukraine is growing, and resources are limited.
“This is a rare and significant venture with Kyiv’s limited resources, and it may indicate the Ukrainians’ belief that major changes are ahead,” writes CNN.
Previously, Podolyak openly stated that the offensive aimed to improve Ukraine’s negotiating position, while Yermak noted that Ukraine “does not see any sense in direct negotiations with Russia at this time.”
