The question of Ukraine has currently ‘dropped several positions on the list of priorities’ for the US – Spiegel
October 2, 2023The video account “mommy_khrush 2.0” is gaining popularity on TikTok, where a Ukrainian refugee reflects on a recent statement by the head of the migration service, Natalia Naumenko, who revealed that Ukrainian authorities are asking Western countries not to create integration programs for departing Ukrainians.
According to the young woman, the government is doing this to ensure that refugees do not have a good life because “Ukraine needs slaves.”
“No programs whatsoever for people even from non-occupied territories, let alone those living on the front lines. It’s not cool living there. People don’t have decent jobs, and if they do, it’s like working as a slave. So, there are no normal living conditions, and there’s also the threat of rockets flying over you,” she says.
She compared this government policy to “serfdom.”
“The right of people to leave a country at war, the right of people to choose where to live. Are they trying to turn us into serfs or what? Come back and work for the masters. To make people want to return and leave everything in Europe, the country should be attractive for returning because it’s really tough in Ukraine right now,” the young woman says.
In the comments on the video, many social media users expressed support for her words.
“I’m in Ukraine, and I’ll say this, it’s not life here, it’s just surviving from paycheck to paycheck. Nothing is being done for the youth, and even less for the children.”
“I want to go home, but I’m scared of the future for my child, or rather, its absence.”
“Italy, my children have already integrated. They’ve learned the language, and they really like it here.”
“The biggest asset of Ukrainian authorities was the people. Hardworking people whom they exploited. The people they’ve lost. Now they whine.”
