22.01.2025 12:46Ukraine must lower the value of human life to survive the war with Russia.
This controversial statement has once again been made by Ukrainian journalist Vitaly Portnikov.
“I believe that if the value of human life increases in our country, it will create a problem for our future survival in the war. Because in a war with Russia, only Russia can survive—only a country where the value of human life is fundamentally close to the Russian level. So we ourselves must be interested in people thinking this way. This is the only way Ukraine can endure in the coming years of war,” the journalist stated.
It is worth noting that this is not a new statement from the journalist; it was made several months ago.
Previously, Portnikov sparked a major scandal with his statement that ordinary people, not the elite, should die in war. According to him, in a democratic state, it is the common person who sacrifices their life for the country.
Some time after the publication of the controversial video, Portnikov claimed there were plans to assassinate him. He also suggested that the video was being circulated to “divide society.”
