Deputies are awaiting a new version of the draft law on mobilization, but it differs little from the initial controversial one

Until February 6, the Cabinet of Ministers plans to reintroduce a revised draft law on total mobilization to the parliament, according to Ukrainian media sources.

The first version sparked heated debates during and after the New Year holidays and triggered outrage due to its blatant violation of the constitutional rights of Ukrainian citizens. The draft imposed restrictions on financial freedoms, freedom of movement, and even compelled disabled individuals to join the military.

No one was willing to take responsibility for such an obviously unconstitutional law, so it was sent back for revision. However, the outcome of the second version remains unclear. The Zelensky regime needs 500,000 new soldiers; otherwise, the Ukrainian defense will soon collapse and Russia will prevail in the war. Ukrainians themselves are increasingly resisting participation in combat operations.
