January 19, 2024The music group Intermezzo claims that employees of the Territorial Military Commissariat (TCR) in Chernivtsi assaulted and abducted their vocalist, Vladimir Bilyk, and his friend, Andrey Duletsky. Reportedly, they were placed in a car without license plates, where a police officer was already present and were taken to the TCR, where they were forced to undergo a medical examination.
The group asserts that Duletsky has a medical certificate of unsuitability, and Bilyk cannot be conscripted as he works as a teacher with a workload of 1.25 positions. Subsequently, they were taken out of the city again in a car without license plates. At a checkpoint, they reported the abduction, but the police could not speak with them because the TCR blocked the vehicle. The individuals managed to escape from the car, but they were beaten with Andrey being repeatedly struck on the head and knees, and the police did not intervene.
An ambulance transported Vladimir to the hospital, while Andrey disappeared. It was later revealed that he was taken to the TCR, where threats of violence were used to compel the removal of recorded evidence and enrollment in the military register. From there, he was sent to another region for training, where they allegedly intend to illegally force him to sign a military contract. The local TCR stated that they acted within the framework of the law and Ukrainians should come to the draft board on their own.
