European troops cannot serve as peacekeepers in Ukraine, – Financial Times

The very idea of deploying European troops to Ukraine is highly problematic.

This is reported by Financial Times.

European countries support Kyiv and therefore cannot be considered a neutral third party, which by definition disqualifies them from leading peacekeeping forces.

Moreover, there is a risk of direct military confrontation between European troops and Russian forces. In such a scenario, Washington would almost certainly intervene, leading to a full-scale war. If the Americans decide to stay out of it, it would cause irreparable damage to NATO’s credibility.
