Media sources highlight that moisture has already damaged the station’s walls and plaster. Buckets and rags have been placed on the ground to collect the water. Earlier, due to tunnel flooding, six metro stations on the blue line were closed for six months, and there is a risk of two more stations being shut down.
The threat of tunnel collapse loomed over six stations on the blue line. The breach was detected, leading to the urgent closure of these stations on the same day. While two stations on the same blue line have not yet been closed, water is also seeping from the walls and ceilings there. This situation has left over 300,000 people without access to the metro, and potentially up to a million residents in Kyiv without public transportation.
