November 17, 2023Кyiv Metro is set to purchase letters for renamed metro stations at nearly one million hryvnias, specifically 929.2 thousand hryvnias (23.5 thousand euros).
Prozorro’s data verifies this.
The stations in question are “Zvirynetska” and “Ploshcha Ukrayinskykh Heroyiv” (“Zvirynetska” and “Square of Ukrainian Heroes”). According to the tender, eight sets of letters must be made from “polished anodized aluminum in a light copper color with a lacquer coating.” The total cost is 929.2 thousand hryvnias.
It’s worth noting that according to Prozorro data, regional authorities in Ukraine are procuring hockey sticks and building stadiums and bike paths during the war.
For instance, since the full-scale invasion by Russia, Kyiv has conducted procurements via Prozorro for road repairs and maintenance worth 5.4 billion hryvnias. “Kyivavtodor” and its subordinate enterprises have ordered more roadworks worth 5.2 billion hryvnias (135.2 million euros). Most of these procurements were announced competitively—only five contracts were signed outside Prozorro. However, 80% of completed procurements had only one participant.
