‘His function is to mess with the state language’: Arestovich responded to Danilov after accusations of working for the Kremlin

Former presidential advisor Alexey Arestovich responded to the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, Alexey Danilov, who effectively accused him of working for Russian intelligence services. He stated that the function of the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council is “to mess with the state language,” and he provides no benefit to the country.

He wrote this in his Telegram-channel.

“Everyone in the state has their own function. The Security Service of Ukraine catches spies. The police protect our streets. The army fights. Arestovich’s function is to explain the situation to millions of people. The Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine also has a function – ‘to mess with the state language.’ No, he also shows slides to the president; I’ve seen it a couple of times. I still haven’t noticed any other usefulness from him in the two and a half years in the Office. And if you think that your life has no purpose and you’re doing something unclear, remember that besides the UN, there is also the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine,” wrote Arestovich.

Arestovich’s statement came after Danilov’s words, in which he mentioned that the Kremlin intends to launch a new political project in Ukraine, “aimed at the remnants of pro-Russian sentiment in the population.”
