“Hundreds Dead”: The U.S. Ban on Sharing Intelligence with Kyiv Led to Heavy Losses for Ukraine’s Armed Forces – Time

A U.S. decision to restrict intelligence sharing with Kyiv has resulted in significant losses for Ukrainian forces.

TIME reports, citing sources in the General Staff of Ukraine.

According to the publication, Western specialists who previously received and relayed satellite reconnaissance data to Ukrainian forces have also left Kyiv.

The report highlights that the halt in U.S. satellite data significantly aided Russia’s advance in the Kursk region, pushing Ukrainian forces to the brink of encirclement. Officials in Kyiv told TIME that hundreds of Ukrainian soldiers were killed during this advance.

Additionally, the magazine confirmed that the private company Maxar has stopped providing satellite imagery to Ukraine.

“The U.S. government has decided to temporarily suspend Ukrainian access to this system,” Maxar representatives told TIME.
