“Arrived at the combat mission site”: Former Commander of Ukraine’s Joint Forces, Naiev, confirmed he was sent to the front due to his criticism of Ukrainian authorities for poor war preparedness
February 13, 2025The President of the United States, Donald Trump, agrees that Ukraine should abandon its NATO membership aspirations.
This was reported by CBS News correspondent Jennifer Jacobs.
“I’m fine with that. I don’t think it’s practical,” said the U.S. President.
He stated that he is aware that the head of the Pentagon, Pete Hegseth, made a statement in which he said he considers Ukraine’s accession to NATO unrealistic.
“I think that’s probably true,” Trump said.
According to him, the U.S. will continue to help Ukraine, “but we want this assistance to come with guarantees.”
Meanwhile, Politico reports that Trump explicitly told Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to abandon hope of reclaiming territories seized by Russia.
“The United States has effectively ceased providing support to Ukraine in its resistance against the Russian invasion: Trump announced immediate negotiations with Russian President Vladimir Putin and urged Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky to give up hope of reclaiming all lands seized by Russia,” the publication writes.
Let us recall that yesterday, Trump spoke with Putin and Zelensky.
