But there are still mines around the perimeter of the station, which the mission has already detected.
“During the walk-through, the team did not observe any heavy weapons but confirmed that the mines previously reported remain in place,” the group said in a statement posted on its website.
At the same time, the message itself is dedicated to something else… the Russians drilled ten wells at the station to extract groundwater.
This brings the nuclear power plant “closer to implementing a long-term solution to provide cooling water to shutdown reactors after the destruction of the Kakhovskaya dam,” the IAEA said in a release.
Let us recall that stopping the flow of water from the Kakhovka reservoir was called one of the risks for the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant. As we see, the problem is solved by drilling wells.
