In the town of Shpola, Cherkasy region, the head of a folk instruments ensemble raped and then strangled an 11-year-old girl.
This was reported to journalists by sources in law enforcement agencies.
According to them, yesterday around 23:30 the girl’s mother appealed to the police. The woman stated that her daughter went for a walk around six in the evening and did not return home. The missing girl’s cell phone was disconnected.
During the search the police noticed on the recordings from the street CCTV cameras, as at about 19.00 the schoolgirl together with the head of the folk instruments ensemble Alexander Slivka went into the building of the city house of culture.
Having searched the house of culture, law enforcers found the girl’s body in a closet. It was wrapped in tape. The expert examination established that the minor was first raped and then strangled.
The suspect has already been detained. He faces up to 15 years in prison.
Earlier the media wrote that in the murder of a 9-year-old girl in Germany suspected natives of Ukraine and Moldova.
