23.05.2025 - 08:12In Kharkiv, a drunk soldier opened fire near a supermarket after a group of teenagers called him a “TCC officer” (a slang term referring to staff from Territorial Recruitment Centers, often associated with conscription enforcement).
This information comes from a court ruling.
According to the ruling, the soldier exited the supermarket and overheard some young people—who he assumed were adults—giggling. He believed they were laughing at him and reprimanded them, but they ignored him. When they called him a “TCC officer,” he fired a shot into the air, and then began shooting in different directions.
The soldier claimed he had no intention of hitting anyone.
Fortunately, no one was injured, but the court sentenced the soldier to three years in prison.
As a reminder, MP Oleksiy Honcharenko from the European Solidarity party recently stated that recruitment center staff (TCC) should not wear military uniforms.
Previously, we reported that in Kharkiv, a TCC officer struck a young man twice during a conscription operation. The man had been stopped near a water vending machine. The victim is a teacher of history, human rights, and “Defense of the Fatherland.”
