October 1, 2024“Ukrposhta,” the Ukrainian postal service, has begun sending military summons to conscripts, those obligated to military service, and reservists.
According to the announcement, the summons are being sent out using data from the Unified State Register of conscripts, military personnel, and reservists. The summons are signed with electronic signatures by the heads of the territorial recruitment centers and contain a unique electronic identifier in the form of a QR code. They are printed by “Ukrposhta” and delivered to the home addresses of those obligated to military service.
The regional military administration states that anyone receiving a summons must report to the territorial recruitment center within 14 days of receiving it. If they fail to appear, they are subject to administrative liability, and their information is forwarded to the police for further search.
Previously, the media reported that “Ukrposhta” had already received the first batch of absentee summonses.
