In Odessa, a man has barricaded himself in a car to evade the military

In a video circulating on social media, around a dozen personnel from the Territorial Recruitment Center have surrounded the vehicle.

Presumably, they aim to serve the driver with a summons, as suggested by local online communities. Resistance against military recruitment officers has become somewhat commonplace, as most Ukrainians are reluctant to join the armed forces.

It’s worth noting that Odessa has been consistently in the spotlight for over half a year due to scandals related to conscription. It was in Odessa where the Recruitment Center conducted one of the most severe crackdowns on men, even compared to other Ukrainian cities. Officers constantly patrol the city streets, reportedly assaulting and abducting men to deploy them to the frontlines.
