In the Chernihiv region, the head of the service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs was detained

In the Chernihiv region, the head of the Territorial Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine was detained while receiving a bribe.

This was reported by the Department of Internal Security of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The video of the arrest was published by the National Police of Ukraine in the department’s Telegram channel.

According to journalist sources in law enforcement agencies, Alexander Poltorak, the head of the Territorial Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine No. 7442, was detained.

“He personally supervised corrupt processes – he approved the amounts for purchasing driver’s licenses. Employees of the Territorial Service Center were required to provide money for each successfully passed theoretical and practical driving exam. Alexander Poltorak was detained by the Department of Internal Security during another bribe transaction of 10,000 hryvnias (237 euros),” the Department of Internal Security of the Ministry of Internal Affairs said in a statement.

The source added that Poltorak has already been remanded in custody with the possibility of posting bail in the amount of one million hryvnias (approximately 23,696 euros), and Poltorak has already paid the required amount.
