In the Volyn region of Ukraine, a regional council deputy has been arrested for accepting a bribe of $35,000.
This information was reported by the National Police of Ukraine.
He promised to “resolve” a land issue in exchange for this money. A citizen wanted to purchase land for economic activities, but in addition to the right to invest in the region, he had to give a bribe, according to law enforcement officials.
The deputy was apprehended during the transfer of the third installment, amounting to $25,000.
