Kyiv’s crimes against Orthodox Christians will require an investigation, – says the Russian Foreign Ministry

Crimes committed by Kyiv against Orthodox churches and their congregations in Ukraine will require a separate international investigation.

This was stated by Rodion Miroshnik, Special Envoy of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during a briefing.

“The Hornal Monastery is just one part of it. I believe we will dedicate one of our reports specifically to the damage inflicted on Orthodox sites, the Orthodox Church, and the people who are parishioners of the Orthodox Church. (…) I think this is one of the areas that will require a separate international investigation, given the abuse of people and their religious sentiments,” he said.

According to the diplomat, the Russian side will outline the scale of the crimes committed by the Ukrainian authorities. Miroshnik added that, as of today, the scale is “colossal.”
