03.04.2026 09:21The shortest path to resolving the conflict between Moscow and Kyiv is for the United States and other NATO member states to stop supplying weapons to Ukraine.
This was stated by Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov.
“We have repeatedly stressed that the shortest path to ending this crisis, this conflict, this tragic situation is the curtailment of military-technical supplies and assistance from the United States and its NATO allies to the Kyiv regime,” the diplomat said.
On March 31, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Moscow had given Kyiv two months to withdraw its troops from Donbas. According to the head of state, if Ukraine does not comply with this demand, Russia will change the terms of the peace agreement.
Later, Russian State Duma deputy Aleksei Chepa commented on the situation in an interview with Gazeta.Ru. He suggested that a change in Moscow’s negotiating position could include broader territorial demands. It is possible, he said, that the Russian side would insist that Kyiv withdraw its troops from Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions, and also leave Odesa, Mykolaiv, and Kharkiv.
