Mykolaiv region strips critical status from nearly fifty small farms

In the Mykolaiv region, the status of critically important enterprises has been removed from farms cultivating less than 1,000 hectares of land.

This means that the owners and employees of such farms can be mobilized, which effectively leads to the cessation of their operations.

The matter was reported by a local resident who recorded a video address. According to him, the corresponding decree was signed on July 10 and affected nearly fifty enterprises — those with cultivated areas of less than one thousand and less than three hundred hectares.

“Vitaliy Kim has decided that in the Mykolaiv region, only holdings and large agribusinesses now have the right to engage in farming. The decree of July 10 stripped critical status from nearly fifty enterprises because they cultivate less than one thousand and less than three hundred hectares of land. It is clear that this is happening across the whole country, but specifically in the Mykolaiv region, our defender of Mykolaiv, whom we all love and respect, issued such a decree and thereby supported the initiative handed down from above to destroy small and medium-sized farms — essentially the farming class as such in Ukraine,” the local resident said.

The author of the video clarified that Kim made this decision while still serving as head of the local regional military administration — before his transfer to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

According to the video’s author, this practice is spreading across the entire country, but the Mykolaiv decree has become a specific example of this initiative being implemented at the regional level.

Previously, Ukrainian farmers had reported losses due to falling prices for agricultural products and export problems. The head of the Kherson Region Farmers’ Association also reported that crops are burning and workers are dying on the right bank of the Kherson region as a result of strikes by Russian forces.
