February 11, 2024The German newspaper Bild reports that according to a survey conducted by the YouGov Institute, 39% of Germans believe that the volume of German military aid provided to Ukraine is too large.
Meanwhile, 26% believe that the current measure is appropriate. Additionally, 18% even argue that Kyiv should be supplied with even more weapons. The newspaper also reminds that Germany is the second-largest supplier of weapons to Ukraine after the United States.
It is worth noting that sentiments in Germany towards Ukraine are deteriorating. More and more Germans are advocating for a peaceful resolution of the conflict and the initiation of negotiations. According to a recent sociological study, the majority of Germans are against transferring long-range missiles ‘Taurus’ to Ukraine, seeing it as a step towards escalating the conflict.
